Payment Policy

Payment is in full on arrival. Credit card details are required on booking but these are held only, we have NOT charged you for your stay. If paying by credit card a 2% transaction fee applies. We do not take cash.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of your cancellation is required 48 hours prior to your arrival date. If we received notice of your cancellation 48 hours prior then there will be no additional charges. If cancelled after the required 48 hours notice then you will be charged the total amount of your stay. This will be debited from your credit card. As Tekapo is an alpine environment, please ensure that your travel insurance covers you for unexpected events resulting in last minute cancellations, including adverse weather conditions or COVID related illness. We accept no responsibility for weather conditions, road closures or flight cancellations.

Group Booking Cancellations

Notice of your cancellation for groups of 4 units or more will be required 14 days prior to arrival. If we receive notice of your cancellation 14 days prior then there will be no additional charges. If cancelled after the required 14 days notice the charge will be 100% of your booking. This will be debited from your credit card.

 

Child Policy

Children are very welcome. For a power site or a non power site we charge for a child from 4 - 14 years. If staying in accommodation we charge for a child from 1 - 14 years. When travelling with an infant (under 1 years of age please ensure you chose a unit suitable for all of you - a 2 person max room will NOT be suitable) We have available high chairs and portacots free of charge when staying in a unit.

Additional Information

We have dog friendly sites separate from the main camp. We have developed this area especially for all our dog lovers. Please book only these sites when travelling with a dog. No more dogs from December 23 2023 - January 8 2024 as we have already reached capacity. We don't allow dogs when staying in accommodation, this means they can't stay in the car either. If unsure please contact reception. T&C's do apply.
